The stars will descend at the prestigious Chevrolet Apsara Producers' Guild Awards to be held on 8th Jan, 2010 at Chitrakoot Grounds, Andheri. The Chevrolet Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards is the Guild's endeavor to honor excellence in cinema and television by the stalwarts of the industry itself.

Over the years, the Chevrolet Apsara Awards has acknowledged talent, perseverance, innovation and pure artistry. The night will see over 30 awards being presented in categories of films and television.

Chevrolet Apsara Producers' Guild Awards 2009 will have scintillating performances by Shah Rukh Khan who will be performing on stage at an awards ceremony after 2 years! Saif Ali Khan and the ravishing Kareena Kapoor will add glamour to the night with their performance. Catch the special performance by Vidya Balan & Arshad Warsi as they present an exclusive number from the upcoming Ishqiya.Vivek Oberoi will set the stage on fire with his rocking performance that includes some heart stopping stunts.

The Television industry is represented in the Best Non-Fiction Series, Best Drama Series (Fiction), Best Director - Fiction, Best Actress and Best Actor in a Drama Series.

The 3 special awards will honour the Best Debutante (Male and Female) for the year 2009 and the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Film Awards are divided into the Technical and Popular categories.

2009 has proven to be a interesting year for the Indian Film Industry and the Film nominations prove just that, with over 24 films being nominated in various categories, with films like Love Aaj Kal, Kaminey, Wake Up Sid, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini, among others dominating the nomination categories. The award winners have been chosen by the Guild's members through a secret ballot.
