( Radha’s daughter ) Actress Karthika Stills

She is making her debut in a bilingual Josh(made in Telugu and Tamil) opposite to Naga Chaitanya. Karthika now nicknamed Josh Karthika after her debut film is the daughter of yesteryear heartthrob Radha. Her movie Josh is slated for release on September 4th.

Karthika is a talented classical dancer and painter. Mumbai based Karthika, who just finished her class 12th exams is raring to go and wants her acting to speak for her.

With already two Karthika’s in Kollywood, this Karthika will be another addition. Will the young lass change her name in Tamil. Only time will tell.

A Joint venture by Raj Kamal Films and UTV Motion pictures, Kamal Hassan’s Unnai Pol Oruvan will have the audio launch on August 31st. Shruti Haasan has scored the music for Unnai Pol Oruvan, while the lyrics are by Kamal Haasan, Blaze and Manushyaputhran.

Kamal Haasan has completed shooting for “Unnai Pol Oruvan’ which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster “A Wednesday’. The movie has Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal in lead roles and is directed by debutant Chakri Toleti.

The movie deals with the trails of a common man after the terrorist attack. Tamil writer Ee Ra Murugan will be the dialogue writer for Unnai Pol Oruvan.

Jagan Mogini Movie Trailer

Cinematographer and filmmaker N.K. Viswanathan remakes the film Jagan Mohini with the same title as the yesteryear hit with the same name. Namitha enacts the role of Jayamalini, while Raja performs the character of prince and Nila as princess. Vadivelu will be adding to the humor quotients with rib-tickling comedy tracks. Jayamalini’s elder sister Jyothilakshmi has been offered to perform a cameo role.

There were lot buzzes about Nayantara’s closeness to Director-actor-choreographer Prabu Deva. It has been even said that the two were secretly married or would tie the knot soon. To make it serious, a morphed photo of the two in wedding attire was posted on several web sites and magazines.

In a recent interview Nayan confirms her relationship with Prabhu Deva as close friend and there is nothing more to it as the media speculates. She said that she would never go against the wishes of her parents if it comes to the concept of marriage.

Actor Silambarasan in Asal

The news is not confirmed but it was revolving around Kollywood that Simbu is doing a guest role in ‘Asal’. But this news was strongly declined by the ‘Asal’ crew as a false one. It is heard that Simbu is doing only one dance number and he is himself going to sing that song.

It is known to all that Simbu is a big fan of Ajith, in all his film he utters some praise or other of Ajith. It seems Simbu has wanted for long time to act in at least one scene of an Ajith film. He even told this to Ajith himself and this song sequence in ‘Asal’ is the result.

The ‘Asal’ crew will put up a grand set in Chennai to shoot Simbu’s dance, after completing the shooting in Malaysia.

Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi not to pair at US Open

Australian Open Winners Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi will play with different partners at the mixed doubles event of the US Open. Sania will pair with Canada’s Daniel Nestor while Bhupathi has teamed up with America’s Liezel Huber.

This is because of Sania’s wrist injury. It has been hurting on and off over the last few weeks and she not sure whether she would play the mixed doubles event. Thus she decided at the last moment after gauging the condition of her injury.

Under these circumstances, they thought it would not be fair on Mahesh as he could end up missing out on the event if Sania was forced to back out at the last moment. Unnai Pol Oruvan Audio Launched

Kamal Haasan’s awaited film ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’s’ audio launched on Sunday morning September 6 with speed and style in the Sathyam cinemas. It was one of the best audio launches and it was well over in 40 minutes. The chief guests at the function were Kamal’s mentor K. Balachandar, his first producer AVM Saravanan, and his all time favorite music director MS Viswanathan.

The fans of Kamal were put up in the balcony of the theatre and they went delirious with joy on seeing their hero and were constantly cheering him up. Gauthami played a perfect hostess and while speaking said that Shruthi Haasan is the new face of Indian music and she is very talented. Her dedication, determination and sincerity to her work are great and she is the true heir to Kamal Haasan’s legacy, she added.

The theatrical trailer of the film and a music video for television and internet promotions was played for the select invitees. After that, Kamal escorted KB to stage and fell on his feet and got his blessings. Akshara Haasan welcomed the legendary director with a bouquet of flowers while Gauthami’s daughter Subbulakshmi did the same to AVM Saravanan.

The audio was jointly unveiled by KB and AVM Saravanan. While speaking on the stage AVM Saravanan said that Kamal has taken Tamil cinema to new heights. KB said that two generations were meeting and Shruthi is going to be the new sensation in Indian cinema.

Shruthi thanked everybody and says that she was always dreaming of that day. She felt as an artist it is an important day and to work with Kamal Haasan is a blessing. Gauthami is her biggest supporter her words mean a lot to her. Kamal says that he was glad all his gurus have come to bless his daughter. MSV sir in spite of not keeping good health came for the function and KB sir has not discovered him but invented him, he added.
