President Obama To Replace Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair
President Obama will soon replace the Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Dennis Blair (ret.) His resignation will come as soon as tomorrow.
For several weeks President Obama has been holding serious conversations about whether to ask Blair to step down and has interviewed candidates to replace him. After a discussion this afternoon between the president and Blair on a secure phone line about the best way forward, Blair offered to resign and the president said he would accept.
Multiple administration sources tell ABC News that Blair’s tenure internally has been a rocky one. On the heels of a number of intelligence failures involving the Fort Hood shooter, failed Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouq Abdulmuttalab, and questions about failed Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, it was no longer clear that Blair -- tasked with coordinating the 16 intelligence agencies and ensuring that they cooperate and share information – still had the full and complete confidence of the president, sources say.

Lance Armstrong faces allegations, crashes out of Tour of California
Armstrong faced a throng of reporters demanding his response to Floyd Landis' allegations that he doped when the two were on the U.S. Postal team. Bret Michaels rushed into emergency
Poison frontman Bret Michaels remains in critical condition after suffering a braon hemorrhage last Thursday while recovering at his home in Texas after an emergency operation to remove his appendix. Michaels was put in intensive care to allow medics to determine the cause of the internal bleeding. His doctors are currently trying to find the starting point of his brain hemorrhage.
Bret Michaels’ official website posted a new message on Sunday: “Everyone at Michaels Entertainment would like to thank all fans and friends for their continued thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. After several CAT scans, MRIs, and an angiogram, doctors decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. It will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.
Fans were thrilled when online reports suggested the star was in good spirits and talking just a day after the scare, but a spokesperson for the musician insists Michaels is still in a vulnerable state.
