Australia is all set to take on India in the Champions trophy on 28th September. The Aussies swept an easy win in their previous match against the minnows; West Indies posting a mammoth total of 275/8 too big for the West Indies to chase and the Aussies had a comfortable 50-run victory.
Captain Ponting’s knock of 79 runs and a good contribution of 73 runs by Mitchell Johnson (you read it right the lip-pierced lanky bowler) cruised the Australian team to an expected victory.
Quite the contrary another favorite team India had a disastrous start to their campaign at the Champions Trophy and they lost their first game to archrivals Pakistan. India seems to be terribly missing its star batsman especially Virender Sehwag and a great all rounder Yuvraj Singh.
Even in the bowling department India did not display any heroics and that cost them a very very important match against Pakistan. The match against Australia will so be more crucial for the men in blue; it is win or a die situation for the Indians to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
Captain MS Dhoni is known for raise from the ashes and so he can impart the same to his team and they will hopefully make a strong come back against the mighty Aussies. The Kangaroos on the other hand might come in fully charged up to defeat the Indians. This match is certainly a tough one to predict the winner.
