Japan Finance Minister is hospitalized
Japan’s Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii, 77, was hospitalised Monday for a rest and medical tests due to high blood pressure and fatigue after weeks of hard work on the budget. “The minister was hospitalised at 10.00 am (0100 GMT) today to rest and get check-ups,” a finance ministry spokesman said. “He has been tired and his blood pressure was a bit high as he had been working hard to draft the budget.”

Kannada Film Industry, which was reeling under the shock of the sad demise of singer, composer C. Ashwath, has been dealt with another severe blow. Dr. Vishnuvardhan, the ever green Sahasa Simha for his fans, died of heart attack in Mysore today morning at the age of 57.
Vishnuvardhan is married to Kannada actress Bharati on 27 February 1975 at Kuchalamba Kalyana Mantapa in Bangalore. He has two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana. Keerthi is married to Anirudh, an upcoming actor in the Kannada Film industry. Vishnuvardhan has one elder brother and four sisters.

One of the stalwarts of the Kannada film Industry Vishnuvardhan died of a heart attack in Mysore late on Tuesday evening.
The popular Kannada actor, whose real name was Sampath Kumar, passed away at the age of 59 years.
All schools and colleges in Bangalore will remain closed on Wednesday per Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurapp’s orders as a mark of respect for Vishnuvardhan.
Vishnuvardhan was popularly referred to as the Phoenix of Kannada cinema. He is survived by his Bharati who is also a popular actress, and two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana.
In 2005 Vishnuvardhan was awarded honorary doctorate by Bangalore University.
He acted in 199 films, won 7 Filmfare Awards and many state government awards. He was also involved in public service and welfare activities of the film world.

Top commercial mass masala director Hari in an interaction with the media confirmed that his Suriya- Anushka big budget action entertainer Singam is 90 percent over.

Aamir Khan starrer comedy-drama 3 Idiots has created a record by grossing over Rs 100 crore in its first four days. Reliance BIG Entertainment, distributor of the film, released about 2,000 prints across 40 countries.
Based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller Five Point Someone, the film has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
"We are privileged to have been associated with 3 idiots and its immensely talented team led by Vinod, Aamir and Raju. The ramp-up to Rs 100 crore in four days is phenomenal and we are confident that the film will continue to blaze new records in the weeks to come," Amit Khanna, chairman, Reliance Big Entertainment, said.
Added Chopra: "Response has been overwhelming from all over the world. Aamir, Raju and I knew from the responses earlier on that people liked the film but this is something else? We have got reports from places like Australia that they have reduced Avatar shows and increased ours."
Released Friday, its box office collection has beaten the initial earnings of another Aamir starrer Ghajini, considered Hindi cinema's highest grosser till date, with 30 per cent more earnings till Sunday night.
"3 Idiots is the highest grossing Hindi film ever in Australia on its opening weekend. Similarly in the US, I have been given to understand that 3 Idiots would be highest ever for a Hindi film," said Chopra.
The paid previews of the movie also garnered over Rs 9 crore worldwide, above those of the paid preview collections of Ghajini that was Rs 7 crore globally.
The film, which reportedly cost Rs 80-100 crore, also stars R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Endhiran Action Scenes
Rajinikant has done some daring action scenes in a moving train for his Shankar directed Endhiran, in Lonavala. The scene also featured Aishwarya Rai and was choreographed by action director Peter Haynes.
Lonavala lies between Mumbai and Pune and is a beautiful hill station. The producers Sun Pictures has managed to get one of the most picturesque locations to shoot a train sequence.

Avatar actress Zoe Saldana has won more admirers after shooting for a hot magazine photoshoot.
The 31-year-old, known as the computer-generated warrior Neytiri in James Cameron's latest blockbuster, posed for Complex magazine.
"Neytiri is blue, she's 9ft tall and she has bigger **** than I do," News of the World quoted the star as saying.
"But it's me - my face, my facial muscles, my expressions. And Jim captured that," she added.
Celina Jaitley to do a Bengali film
Celina Jaitley has already dabbled in Telugu and Kannada films and the former beauty queen now wants to work in a Bengali film, preferably one with Rituparno Ghosh.
"I have spent a lot of time in West Bengal and this is the reason I can easily associate myself with the place, culture and the language. I would really love to work in a Bengali movie because I feel they make very emotional and interesting movies," Celina said.
"The way they weave stories is fascinating. They simply touch the human chord. I would love to work with Ritu-da [Rituparno Ghosh]. This would be one of my targets for the next year," she said.
Celina is riding high after winning the best female actor award for her performance in the English film Love Has No Language at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) held November 10-20. The movie was a New Zealand entry at the film festival.
"This year has been so good. Winning this award has been an icing on the cake. These awards work as a motivation factor and help you perform better. As the role was a bit different from the conventional roles I do, it worked," said the actress.
"I have always seen that whenever I have attempted something different, I have been appreciated," she added.
Love Has No Language, an engaging romantic movie, was directed by Ken Khan and stars New Zealand actor Ben Mitchell as well as Hindi film actors Rati Agnihotri and Kiran Kumar.
The 28-year-old, who has featured in Hindi movies like Janasheen, No Entry and Golmaal Returns, has seven movies in her kitty and is confident that she will make her presence felt on the big screen next year.
The model-turned-actress doesn't understand why people question her if she opts to do only a few movies.
"If Aamir Khan does one movie at a time, he is applauded but if Celina Jaitley chooses to do a few movies, she is criticised. Why such disparity?" the actress asked.
Apart from acting, Celina is involved with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and is also a gay rights activist.
"In my free time, I love to work for the causes I strongly feel for. All these things are no substitute for romance but they are something that I feel responsible for," she said.
"I choose to live my life fully and it deserves appreciation," she added.
The actress will soon be seen in movies like Accident On Hill Road, Run Bhola Run and Chai Garam.
"I have spent a lot of time in West Bengal and this is the reason I can easily associate myself with the place, culture and the language. I would really love to work in a Bengali movie because I feel they make very emotional and interesting movies," Celina said.
"The way they weave stories is fascinating. They simply touch the human chord. I would love to work with Ritu-da [Rituparno Ghosh]. This would be one of my targets for the next year," she said.
Celina is riding high after winning the best female actor award for her performance in the English film Love Has No Language at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) held November 10-20. The movie was a New Zealand entry at the film festival.
"This year has been so good. Winning this award has been an icing on the cake. These awards work as a motivation factor and help you perform better. As the role was a bit different from the conventional roles I do, it worked," said the actress.
"I have always seen that whenever I have attempted something different, I have been appreciated," she added.
