Mundhinam Partheney Audio Released

The audio launch of Seventh Channel Communications’ Mundhinam Partheney was a refreshingly different function held at the popular multiplex in Chennai.

The function was marked by a performance of songs from the film by dancers from the Raack Academy following which the songs of the film were introduced live to the audiences in a novel performance on stage.

Singers Krish, Suchitra, Ranjith, Naresh and Haricharan along with music director Thaman S, sang songs from the film and performed for the audience giving them a feel of what to expect in the album.

Following this, the lead stars, the hero Sanjay and heroines Puja, Lizna and Ekta performed one song live on stage with the dancers. Then the trailer and a song shot in the never seen before location (in Tamil cinema) of Dover Castle, were screened. Only Mel Gibson has shot for a film in this location in the UK.

The highlight was the honouring of five new directors by producer Manicam Narayanan who wanted to encourage fresh talent. Directors Arivazhagan, Susindran, Pandiraj, Rajesh and Paneerselvam were honoured by director Bharathi Raja and KP Jain DGP, and presented with a silver plaque.

The film is a breezy romantic with a fresh team led by Gautam Menon’s associate Magizh Thirumeni with camerawork by PC Sreeram’s assistant Vincent. Sanjay is from Chennai while the three girls are from Mumbai. The music by Thaman is said to be a highlight of the film, setting the stage for a light feel good romantic story.

“We have no violence nor vulgarity and it’s a film for all ages,” says Magizh who was overwhelmed by the presence of Gautham Menon on stage. “I owe everything I am to him,” he said.

The guests at the function, including Parthiban, Khushboo, Sandhya and Bhagyaraj all lauded the efforts of the producer and praised the visuals and songs of the film. “The producer gave me freedom, spent lavishly on foreign locales and encouraged all our efforts and gave us ample facilities to encourage our talent,” said Magizh.

For Ekta Khosla who is a beauty queen and has some Kannada and Telugu films to her credit, this is the first Tamil venture while the other two girls are debuting in films. Puja plays an assistant director, while Lizna plays an IT professional and Ekta a dance instructor.

The story is set in the IT world and the hero is an IT professional. “After doing big films like Vettaiyadu Vilayadu we wanted to do something with new faces once we heard the story from Magizh,” reveals Narayanan All in all the film is bound to appeal to the youth with its trendy, rich and fresh feel, music, visuals and story.
