Mohanlal’s Rosshan Andrews entertainer Casanova has been shelved, as one of the producers and distributor Vysakh Rajan has walked out of the project. Mohanlal will now do Joshy’s long delayed multi-starrer Christian Brothers
After a compromise over production cost with Kerala Film Producers Association, the producers Anoop and Subair will start the shoot of Christian Brothers in Ernakulam from January 12.
The producers have given a written agreement to the association that the cost of the film will not exceed Rs 3.5 Crore. The film has Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep,Kavya Madhavan and Padmapriya.
Meanwhile Vysakh Rajan says he has opted out of Casanova due to the big budget of the film. The industry also felt at that cost (around Rs 8 crore) the film may not be viable, especially after Rosshan Andrew’s Christmas release Ividum Swargamanu had taken a lukewarm opening.
