Director Guruprasad of two super hit films ‘Mata’ and ‘Eddelu Manjunatha’ has given a right tribute to 75 years of Kannada cinema in his own way. He has made a film ‘Idhu Bombeyatavayya’ which is the first 2D Animation film in Kannada. This will be later adapted in various other languages. The entire production and process work of ‘Idhu Bombeyatavayya’ was held in Mysore. With his friend Shankar Rao a partner of ‘Eddelu Manjunatha’ Guruprasad says he has invested Rs.1.10 crore on this unique project. The animation film runs for two hours and ten minutes.
Meanwhile Guruprasad’s already announced film ‘Directors Special’ is deferred as Komal Kumar declined to do the central character. Guruprasad in the mean time is launching ‘Jugalbandi’ which is a comedy with Tabla Naani in the lead role. Tabla Nani and Jaggesh combination in ‘Eddelu Manjunatha’ received rave reviews.
