The grass courts suit Mahut's style of play, with the Frenchman aiming to keep rallys short with big winners. With such a dominating serve, Isner, standing at 6'9" also favours the low bounce of Wimbledon's grass courts.
Along with Andy Roddick, John Isner holds the responsibility of representing the Americans in the latter stages of Wimbledon, with many fans hoping for a lengthy run from both players.
Isner v Mahut could provide an upset, Mahut beat Isner two years ago at Queen's Club and although Isner has improved massively since that clash, Mahut looks dangerous on grass and should not be ruled out.
