Director Seeman, whose romantic Vazhthugal did not find much success at the box office, is now ready to start his next project, a film with a social theme, which is his forte.
Seeman’s Thambi with Madhavan, a film on social awareness, was a hit because it portrayed society’s angst against the system. On the other hand, Vazhthugal was an insipid rehash of the Kadhalukku Mariyadhai theme, which naturally did not find favour with the audiences. Added to that, the film’s usage of chaste Tamil made it a no-goer for the multiplex audiences with limited Tamil vocabularies.
Seeman’s next film is most likely to be Pagalavan. It is said that the director had written the script immediately after Thambi. Meanwhile, we hear that Seeman will be continuing his principle of using chaste Tamil in Pagalavan too.
