NHL Montreal Canadiens vs Calgary Flames Live Streaming

NHL Montreal Canadiens vs Calgary Flames Live Streaming

This is the first of two meetings for the 2009-10 season. These teams split the season series in 2008-09, each winning by a wide margin at home. Robert Lang (2-1-3), now with Phoenix, and Alexei Kovalev (0-3-3), now with Ottawa, led the Canadiens with 3 points apiece. Lang and Matt D'Agostini were the only Montreal players with 2 goals each. The Flames were led by Matt Lombardi's 3 points (1-2-3), but he now plays in Phoenix. Dustin Boyd scored a team-high 2 goals. Goaltenders Jaroslav Halak and Miikka Kiprusoff of Montreal and Calgary, respectively, each had a win and a loss.

This will be the 100th all-time regular season game between these clubs, and Montreal holds a 54-29-15-1 advantage. The main storyline is the return of former Flame Mike Cammalleri to Calgary with his new club. Last season, Cammalleri scored a career-high 39 goals with 82 points playing mostly on a line with Jarome Iginla, but opted to join Montreal as a free agent and sign a five-year contract.

Montreal is 2-0-0 thanks to consecutive overtime wins against division rivals Toronto and Buffalo, and became the third team in League history to begin a season with two overtime victories, joining the 1984-85 Maple Leafs and the 2006-07 Sabres. Calgary is the first stop on the Canadiens' three-game western road trip. They have yet to play a home game and won't make it back to Montreal until Oct. 15.
