India and West Indies will face each other in the Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2009, Watch Live Streaming and Live scores of the match which will begin in Johannesburg on wednesday 29th September, 2009. Match start time at 14:30 am local, 6 pm India time.
If India have to make it to the the semi final of the Champions Trophy, Then the equation is ..Australia have to lose to Pakistan, then India have to beat the West Indies, and that too with a huge margin , so that their net run-rate surpasses Australia’s. If any of these doesn’t happen, then India have to pack there bags and come back to India.
Indian Captain M s Dhoni Said in a press Conference “I think Indian fans want us to qualify, so I am sure they will definitely support the Pakistan team,” said Dhoni. “You can expect them to cheer Pakistan tomorrow, but it is entirely up to them.”
The points split in the last game means India and Australia will fight it out for the semi-final slot in Group A, with Pakistan already through. Now If Australia beat Pakistan, they’ll obviously go through , It’ll get more complicated, though, if Australia lose to Pakistan and India beat West Indies.
Its interesting to note that the depleted West Indies have lost 5 ODI’s in a row. But if the the history of the champions Trophy is taken into consideration West Indies have won both the matches they have played against India in the previous two editions of the Champions Trophy.
